Wondering where a familiar story has gone? When articles are taken off the front page of the website, they remain in "features" so you can still read them.

Womens' Institute, whose hall we often rehearse
in, was kind enough to invite Hathor members to one of their regular meetings,
where they were having a talk on Arab costume and jewellery. Three of us were able to go and enjoyed a
warm welcome this Tuesday.
First, I have to say, there was cake - a beautifully decorated Christmas one in a raffle. But when I told my colleagues where I was
going, they all asked if it was for a calendar shoot. I'm not sure if that is a reflection on their
view of the WI, or their view of me!

Hathor dancers are often asked where we go to classes, if we teach classes, or where people can take up Our Dance in the local area.
The answer is, we don't run classes - except for the odd workshop - and we all go to different teachers in the area and beyond, so to help our readers, we've put together a list of teachers in Oxford area (pdf).

When I tell people what my hobby is, I get a variety of reactions. Most of them include one of these questions. My answers are based on my own personal experience, reading various books and articles, and participating in discussions on the MED list with dancers and scholars of our art with many years of study and life experience.
