Caroline says:

• There will only be two groups - Karen's and us.  Karen has also invited Clare Bagwell to perform 2 solos.
• Karen is keen for us to double up on dances so we are not having to do too many quick changes, which would be very difficult with only one other group.
• So bearing this in mind we went through our dance options and I gave her a provision list of what I think we will perform
  • Alki and Kicking the Dog - one outfit.  Or could do a quick change (tops & belt if Karen wants to do her gypsy number in between).  We have done these 2 together before so know it works.
  • BellyBolly (Karen liked this one and thought a bit of fusion would be good) plus another so SabriA for example or polish up another oldie.  Corporate outfit
  • then a stand alone number of Heaven - good to have a dazzler and our only prop dance- wrap around pants
  • and then another number, Alf or 5678, again KarenB liked both of these.  In keeping with disco/fusion theme.  And which ever one we pick the other will be reserve.  [on Saturday we realised we could do both.  "Clubwear" and heels for Alf and the jeans get-up for 5678.  They will not be together].

  • then the finale - same as Shakespeare version 2 (hathor hafla o09) - turquoise outfits
  
  What we need to do
  • Agree our line-up - RUNNING ORDER TBA.
  • Confirm who is and who is not dancing so we can start to rejig certain numbers.  ACTION: All to me.  CAROLINE, MANDY, FIONA, JANET, LISA, KAREN, TRACEY, JACKIE
  • Other requests
    • some jobs to divide up - need some decent blurb on each number and about ourselves.  There will be no compare so any info we want the audience to know needs to be in the programme.  TRACEY VOLUNTEERED
    • KarenB needs a stage managers - has to be a women, any ideas for a volunteer for this job? NO VOLUNTEERS/SUGGESTIONS
    • No talk of dressers.  We should have time to change and the changing room should be big enough for both groups.  Karen would love to do a full dress rehearsal to get timings right etc (and not have awkward silences between dances) but that will be dependant on our availability.
    • photographer - Karen is looking for a hubby that could take some decent pics.  JEREMY VOLUNTEERED. Can do with or without flash (he prefers without).
    • decent pics of us as a group for the programme.  was there a group one of us from Shakespeare or anything for our last hafla? HMM, DID WE COME TO A CONCLUSION? I can supply something from Jeremy's collection.
    • then the same for a video - any offers/suggestions?
    • Karen would like us all to have a social evening together post the event.  Say a week or so later.  Suggested the new "du liban" which she was happy about.  Any other suggestions/constraints on time?
    • Rehearsal time.   Sat 13 March. We will need to contribute to the cost of the hire of the hall for this.
